Comment Note that the Printer & Cassette interface has a built-in rechargeable battery pack. When its battery is weak the PC-1600 shows "CHECK 45" when it is turned on and the "BATT" indicator is lit. In this case any printer command causes and "ERROR 78" (weak battery). After operating the interface a short while with an external 7.5V power supply this error disappears.
Important: To reinitialize the unit hold down the "ON" key and press the "Reset" button on the back of the unit (or on the back of the cassette interface). Pressing only the "Reset" button can lead to really weird results!!
